Zen Courtyards

Run by a non-profit yoga retreat organisation with a holistic approach, this is a guest house and residence for travelling yogis and vegetarians surrounded by natural beauty, serenity and solitude. There are 2 locations in the Western mountains of Beijing. One is a courtyard in the Fragrant Hill Mountains and one is a 500 year-old Buddhist Temple near Warm Spring County. There is a warm home atmosphere filled with antique treasures and books. There is no TV and outside distractions are minimised. Free internet access is available, although we encourage you to leave your phones and e-mail behind you. With daily yoga, meditation or Tai Chi Sadhna, Chinese classes and calligraphy practices, you can enjoy being away from the trappings of everyday life. You can also experience activities such as hot spring resorts, herbal foot massages and cultural tours on request.
